What this was
The product and my role
The portal brings shipment planning, documents, tracking and settlement into one system. It serves freight forwarders, wagon owners and company administrators across web and mobile.
I led product design and also worked as the product manager. My responsibilities included research, information architecture, interface design, prioritisation and the design system. Four designers worked on this product.
The scope covered around 50 operations and 400 screens: approximately 250 on the web and 150 in the mobile app.
- Price a route
- Book
- Declare the wagons
- Sign
- Track
- Settle

The home screen
A dashboard for daily operations
The dashboard brings pending operations, account information and shipment activity into one view.
Users can open documents that need attention and start planning a shipment.
100
Planning a shipment
Planning a shipment
Users can compare delivery options and inspect the stages of a route.
Each option brings the transport legs and pricing information together.
Fifty operations
Creating shipment documents
The form supports both individual wagon entry and a pasted list of wagon numbers.
Users can review and edit the resulting records before signing the document.
The settlement account
Account balance and transactions
The settlement view combines an account summary with a detailed transaction table.
Tabs separate transaction states so users can inspect the records relevant to their task.
Three roles, one cabinet
Navigation for different roles
The portal supports freight forwarders, wagon owners and administrators.
The selected role determines the navigation and available operations. The interface also includes a dark theme.
Two platforms
The mobile app
The Flutter app runs on iOS and Android and covers around 150 screens.
It includes shipment information, wagon tracking and camera-assisted wagon-number entry.
What held it together
A shared design system
The design system covers typography, colour, navigation, tables, forms and component states.
It supports light and dark themes, with shared visual foundations across web and mobile.
I led the design team and the work on the system, helping keep the product consistent as its scope grew.
Outcome
Product reach and outcomes
The company reported a reduction in the end-to-end shipment cycle from 30 to 14 days, around 33,000 monthly users and 85% user satisfaction.
The portal served a base of around 10,000 shipping companies.
